Process Engineer II

Ambient Biosciences is a technology company that is disrupting the biomolecule stabilization industry through its patented technology platform. We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer II to join our team and help us scale and commercialize our stabilization process.
Key Responsibilities- Process Optimization: Direct lab scientist resources in performing experimental work and generate data to help our understanding of the stabilization process scaling parameters.
- Process Analytics: Identify and implement process analytics tools for process mapping and real-time process control.
- Capillary Materials Sourcing: Develop and apply an understanding of capillary materials in sourcing and validating novel materials for use in the Ambient Biosciences stabilization process.
- Process Modeling: Apply first principles to model the Ambient Biosciences stabilization process and generate functional requirements for Ambient Biosciences stabilization chambers and associated process consumables.
- Engineering Requirements: Translate functional requirements into engineering requirements and contribute towards the development of future stabilization chambers and process consumables.
- Testing and Validation: Develop testing and validation plans and qualification metrics for the stabilization process and ensure implementation in our manufacturing operations.
- Team Leadership: Supervise one or more junior engineers, lab scientist or technician resources.
- You possess a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related fields with industry experience.
- Proficient developing 3D models and assemblies and 2D machine drawings (Fusion 360 experience strongly preferred).
- You have hands-on prototype fabrication and assembly experience.
- Experience working in a R&D or startup environment strongly preferred.
- Strong fundamentals in applied physics and mathematics.
- Experience with design of experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis.
- Experience with microcontroller and/or PLC programming.
- Experience working with vacuum based systems strongly preferred.
- Experience with lyophilization equipment and process is a plus.
