Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Beef Shoppe Manager to join our team at Lowes Foods. As a key member of our bakery department, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest service, maintaining high-quality products, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding guest service and create a welcoming environment for customers.
  • Supervise and train staff to achieve sales and operational goals.
  • Prepare products for sale, including meat cutting, slicing, and wrapping.
  • Maintain inventory levels and ensure proper ordering.
  • Operate the department according to merchandising and operational programs.
  • Ensure high-quality and freshness of products available for sale.
  • Maintain safety and sanitation standards in all areas.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to staff to ensure satisfactory performance standards.
  • Perform product preparation, receiving, stocking, and guest service as needed.
  • Maintain the department's labor budget and schedule optimal hours.
Requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal and selling skills.
  • Ability to work well with others and supervise staff.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. constantly.
  • Ability to read and understand information and directions.
  • Knowledge of meat/seafood products and operations.
  • Ability to supervise people, including training and development.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be able to work in a cold environment.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
