At Trident Medical Center, we're committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered care in our Emergency Department. As a Registered Nurse, you'll play a vital role in triaging, assessing, and treating patients of all ages presenting for emergency care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Triage and assess patients, prioritizing those with life-threatening conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, collaborating with the primary ED attending
  • Document patient information, including changes in condition, transfer, and discharge
  • Respond to incoming telephone calls, providing phone triage and referrals as needed
  • Manage care through efficient throughput, understanding and utilizing care zones such as triage, rapid treatment area, carepath, pediatric ER, trauma, and behavioral health
  • Coordinate and triage incoming ambulance traffic
  • Stay up-to-date with the Emergency Severity Index 5-level triage algorithm
  • Make informed care decisions, demonstrating critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Provide patient education, supporting patients and their families throughout their stay
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing with an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification
  • Previous emergency, pre-hospital Registered Nurse experience preferred
