About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Doc's Marina Grill. As a key member of our kitchen leadership, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring that our high standards of food quality and safety are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Kitchen Operations: Supervise and coordinate the activities of our kitchen staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Supervise and Train Kitchen Staff: Provide guidance and support to our kitchen team members, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Create and Execute Menu Items: Collaborate with our Executive Chef to design and implement new menu items, ensuring that they meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Ensure Food Quality and Safety Standards: Implement and maintain strict food safety and quality control procedures, ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality food.
  • Manage Inventory and Ordering: Oversee the ordering and inventory management of all kitchen supplies and ingredients, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet our culinary needs.
  • Collaborate with Executive Chef: Work closely with our Executive Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas, ensuring that they align with our culinary vision and goals.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Extensive experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and quality control procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Collaborative and flexible approach, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
