**Heavy Equipment Mechanic Opportunity at Wiese USA**

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Wiese USA. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing planned maintenance on rail car moving equipment, as well as selling and generating parts and service revenue while exceeding customer expectations.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical issues with rail car moving equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations, to ensure equipment is running efficiently and effectively.
  • Sell and generate parts and service revenue by identifying and recommending necessary repairs and maintenance to customers.
  • Actively support and promote safety initiatives, following all safety policies and procedures, and reporting any unsafe work or work environments to management.

**Requirements:**

  • Previous experience and/or training in internal combustion engines, gas and diesel/automotive repair, or related military background.
  • Heavy equipment repair and/or agricultural equipment repair experience.
  • Wiring and electrical troubleshooting skills, including Can Buss-Class 1.
  • Welding and fabricating skills.
  • Hydraulic repair experience.
  • General knowledge of Trackmobile/Railroad equipment is a plus.
