Position Overview

The organization is currently in search of an Accounts Receivable Specialist to facilitate the daily functions of the accounts receivable department. This role involves managing and tracking incoming payments, ensuring revenue is secured through accurate posting of receipts, and proactively pursuing outstanding receivables. The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional attention to detail in all tasks and will be adept at handling and counting substantial amounts of cash.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconcile daily cash drawer balances to confirm that all payments are accurately recorded.
  • Ensure the precision of accounts receivable data, addressing and rectifying any discrepancies while maintaining up-to-date electronic records.
  • Monitor overdue accounts and engage with clients to verify payment statuses.
  • Implement appropriate restrictions and notes on delinquent accounts as necessary.
  • Provide assistance to customers in person, via email, and over the phone, delivering general information and directing complex inquiries to the relevant personnel.
  • Prepare daily summaries for all cash drawer sessions and reconcile cash drawers.
  • Post charges and payments for client accounts and other transactions.
  • Scan daily cash reports and payment plans into the electronic database.
  • Process non-sufficient funds (NSF) and returned checks related to accounts receivable.
  • Oversee specific projects as assigned.

Essential Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in an accounts receivable capacity or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • At least two years of experience in cash handling.
  • Submission of an official transcript is required.
