Seeking a dynamic financial data analyst with strong SQL and BI expertise

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced financial analyst to contribute to our fast-paced, private equity-backed manufacturing and distribution company. This role will work closely with the FP&A manager to create insightful dashboards using BI tools and SQL. The analyst will play a key role in preparing financial packages and conducting analyses for senior management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough analysis of business and financial data, focusing on variances from budget and historical performance.
  • Develop financial models to support strategic decision-making within the organization.
  • Create financial plans and reports for leadership review.
  • Prepare presentations for quarterly board meetings, including supporting analyses and commentary.
  • Assist with due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
  • Analyze industry trends and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Evaluate capital expenditure proposals.
  • Design automated reporting and forecasting tools to enhance data utilization.
  • Perform additional related tasks as needed.
  • Gain exposure to treasury functions and other opportunities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of systems analysis methods and principles in big data.
  • Solid grasp of project management principles.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of databases and data integrity management.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline is required.
  • A minimum of two years of professional experience as a financial analyst or data analyst.
  • Proficient in Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Experience with PowerBI, SQL, or similar analytics software.
  • Experience in treasury functions is advantageous.
  • Experience in private equity is a plus.
