Position Overview:
As a permanent Supply Chain Technology Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and management of materials and inventory control for technology assets, supplies, and equipment.
Your responsibilities will include logistics, shipping and receiving, materials management, and inventory cycling initiatives.Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute strategies for managing technology inventory and supply chain, ensuring efficient and effective data center operations.
- Supervise the procurement of technology assets, negotiating with suppliers to secure optimal value for our investments.
- Oversee the lifecycle management of technology assets, from acquisition to disposal, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with various departments to forecast technology requirements and ensure resource availability to meet operational needs.
- Establish and enforce policies and procedures for technology asset management, ensuring consistency and efficiency in practices.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of our technology inventory and supply chain, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary adjustments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, IT, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in technology inventory management, supply chain management, or a similar role.
- Extensive experience in data center operations.
- Active DOE Q clearance (or had this clearance within the last 3 years).
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven history of successful vendor negotiations.
- Excellent analytical abilities, capable of interpreting complex data to make informed decisions.
- Outstanding organizational skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to guide a team and enhance performance.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying complex information to diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in relevant software, including inventory management systems and data analysis tools.
- Previous data center experience and Security+ certification are advantageous.
