Infrastructure Project Engineer

Job Summary: W3Global Inc is looking for a committed Infrastructure Project Engineer to join our team and oversee the execution of civil engineering projects for various sites. In this role, you will manage all phases of project development, from initial design and planning to construction and final project delivery. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with all regulatory and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Evaluation and Feasibility Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive site evaluations and feasibility analyses to assess project feasibility.
- Review site conditions, including topography, soil stability, and environmental factors based on provided documentation.
- Identify project limitations and possibilities to guide design and planning choices.
- Engineering Design and Planning:
- Create detailed engineering designs and plans for infrastructure initiatives.
- Employ software tools such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D to produce precise drawings and specifications, including Hydrology studio, regularly.
- Collaborate with architects, urban planners, and other specialists to ensure project requirements are met.
- Execute Hydrology calculations and evaluate stormwater management designs.
- Expertise in grading, cut and fill operations.
- Proficient in erosion and sediment control, including comprehensive SWPPP designs.
- Design stormwater systems and review vendor submissions.
- Regulatory Adherence and Permitting:
- Guarantee compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and secure necessary permits.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies to fulfill environmental, zoning, and building code requirements.
- Prepare and submit permit applications and necessary documentation.
- Familiarity with governmental sewer system departments.
- Cost Estimation and Budget Oversight:
- Generate precise cost estimates and formulate project budgets.
- Track project expenses and monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and propose value engineering solutions.
- Construction Oversight and Management:
- Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Manage relationships with contractors and subcontractors, including procurement and scheduling.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control assessments to uphold project standards and timelines.
- Risk Management and Mitigation:
- Identify potential project risks and develop strategies for mitigation.
- Proactively address issues related to construction delays, budget overruns, and regulatory compliance.
- Implement contingency plans to minimize disruptions and ensure timely project completion.
- Project Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain thorough project documentation, including drawings, reports, and correspondence.
- Prepare progress reports and updates for stakeholders, emphasizing milestones and challenges.
- Compile as-built documentation and final project records for client handover.
- Engage in daily technical writing and communicate effectively with all stakeholders in a professional manner.
- Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as the primary liaison for clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and deliverables.
- Address client inquiries and ensure satisfaction with project outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one state, with additional states preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in managing civil engineering projects from inception to completion.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant software tools.
- Knowledge of permitting processes and relevant governmental departments.
- Familiarity with highway design, traffic engineering principles, and construction methodologies.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and building codes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to work independently and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
