We are seeking a highly skilled Water Resources/Drainage Engineering Associate III to join our Infrastructure Group at RS&H. This position will be based out of our St. Charles, IL office.
Key Responsibilities- Stormwater Management and Drainage Design: Develop and implement effective stormwater management systems and drainage designs for various clients, including IDOT, state transportation agencies, regional airports, and local agencies.
- Hydrologic and Hydraulic Modeling: Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using industry-standard software, such as HEC-HMS, HY-8, HEC-RAS, SMS SRH-2D, SWMM, and ICPR/Stormwise.
- Water Quality Design and Environmental Permitting: Design and implement water quality management systems and obtain necessary environmental permits for projects.
- Sustainability Practices: Apply accepted and innovative water resources engineering practices to ensure sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in water resources engineering, including stormwater management, drainage design, and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
- Certifications: Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) or eligibility to obtain PE.
- Skills: Proficient in production software, construction document production, and strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with Industry-Standard Software: Proficient in software such as Watershed delineation, Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, Drainage Analysis and Design, CADD, ArcGIS, and Plans, Specifications, and Estimates production.
- Knowledge of Erosion and Sediment Control and Best Management Practices: Familiarity with erosion and sediment control measures and best management practices for water resources projects.
