Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Roadway Construction Inspector to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our infrastructure services team, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of roadway construction projects to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
  • Review and document contract quantities, project progress, and any issues or concerns.
  • Assist with and/or perform construction contract administration tasks, including review of payment applications, change orders, submittals, warranties, and other related activities.
  • Act as liaison between clients, contractors, residents, and other project stakeholders to ensure effective communication and resolution of issues.
  • Assist project managers with conflict resolution and provide support as needed.
  • Obtain as-built data and maintain redline markups throughout construction.
  • Provide field information to support office staff needs during construction and for various design projects as needed.
  • Assist management staff with other requested tasks to meet company objectives.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in roadway construction inspection or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contract administration and project management principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
