Crisis Intervention Specialist

The City of Fremont, CA is seeking a skilled Crisis Intervention Specialist to join our Human Services Department. As a key member of our team, you will provide critical support to individuals in crisis, utilizing your expertise in mental health services and community outreach.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide crisis intervention services to individuals in need, utilizing a trauma-informed approach.
  • Collaborate with community partners to develop and implement effective outreach strategies.
  • Conduct assessments and develop plans to support individuals in crisis, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community members, fostering trust and promoting positive outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in crisis intervention and mental health services.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in providing mental health services, preferably in a crisis intervention setting.
  • Licensure or registration in the State of California, or willingness to obtain.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques and community outreach strategies.
