Customer Service Operations Supervisor

The Customer Service Team Lead plays a crucial role in managing Front End operations, which encompasses all aspects of Customer Service, Cashier duties, cart retrieval, and maintaining cleanliness in front-end areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide coaching and guidance to establish and uphold Best in Class customer service standards.
  • Conduct daily observations of cashier performance to ensure service consistency and efficiency.
  • Proactively engage with Cashiers to address challenges and maintain smooth operations.
  • Oversee the customer service desk and cash office functions.
  • Manage cash office activities and implement improvements in cash handling procedures.
  • Assist with service desk operations, including processing returns, issuing rain checks, and managing Buy Online Pick Up In Store orders.
  • Handle customer service supply inventory and ordering.
  • Ensure that cash register lines remain manageable, with no more than three customers at a time.
  • Facilitate timely retrieval of shopping carts.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in restrooms and customer service areas.
  • Act as the final authority on cashier empowerment and lane call inquiries, providing coaching and training as needed.
  • Promote the Fleet Farm customer loyalty program, credit card offerings, and other company initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Two years of experience in retail management or supervisory roles is preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and build relationships in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to motivate a diverse team of full-time and part-time members.
  • Demonstrated decisiveness and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Comfortable with communication and training responsibilities.
