Job Title: CDL Class A Driver

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CDL Class A driver to join our team at Performance Foodservice. As a CDL Class A driver, you will be responsible for delivering food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes to deliver food and food-related products to customers.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the tractor and trailer to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Load and unload products from the trailer, and transport them to designated customer storage areas.
  • Verify delivery of products with customers and obtain signatures.
  • Collect payment from customers where required.
  • Perform damage control checks on products and report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Complete daily records of hours of service and enter them in the log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.

Requirements:

  • 12 months commercial driving experience.
  • Valid CDL A license.
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
  • Pass road test.
  • Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
