Job Opportunity: Financial Accounting Analyst

At the Center for Health Information and Analysis (CHIA), we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accounting Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the agency's fiscal goals and promoting effective fiscal stewardship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Agency Assessment process, including data collection and coordination with healthcare organizations.
  • Ensure financial compliance by utilizing knowledge of the Commonwealth's fiscal policies and technical expertise.
  • Assist in transactions in the state accounting system (MMARS) and process accounting documents.
  • Provide oversight of the chart of accounts and assist in the creation and tracking of purchase orders, spending transactions, and reimbursement requests.

Requirements:

  • At least four years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional experience in accounting or auditing, with at least one year in a supervisory, administrative, or managerial capacity.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to think strategically about financial matters.
  • Proficiency in financial systems, including MMARS and CIW.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to diverse audiences.
