Job Summary

Evaluate, recommend, install, and support microcomputer hardware and application software, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation graphics, data base management systems, and electronic mail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide training for users of microcomputer application software.
  • Support microcomputer hardware and application software.
  • Collaborate with the Network/PC Specialist to ensure seamless system operation.
  • Access patient health information, including demographics, billing, and limited clinical data relevant to the current encounter.
  • Work a standard Monday to Friday schedule, with occasional after-hours on-call duties.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in Information Systems or Computer Science with intensive PC technical and network activities.
  • Minimum of one year of PC technical and networking experience.
  • Formal training or direct experience with personal computer spreadsheets, word processing, etc.
  • Ability to explain technical aspects of duties performed to supervisor and co-workers.
  • Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, and sitting for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
