Job Information

As a Co-op IT Support Specialist, you will provide internal PC support and management in the form of installing software and updates, diagnosing hardware and software problems; and repairing PCs as well as peripheral equipment. This role requires a high level of motivation and independence, with strong background in Windows based software troubleshooting. You will work under pressure and prioritize and manage workload, with excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge and understanding of client computing technologies and their inter-workings, with ability to follow written instructions and be knowledgeable in PC hardware and software. Additionally, you will have strong troubleshooting skills, with ability to complete assigned activities as well as meet milestones and work under pressure and prioritize and manage workload.

Responsibilities

Provide internal PC support and management
Install software and updates
Diagnose hardware and software problems
Repair PCs and peripheral equipment
Work under pressure and prioritize and manage workload

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent. Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in MIS or Computer Science.
0-2 years of experience in IT support
Strong background in Windows based software troubleshooting
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to follow written instructions
Knowledgeable in PC hardware and software
Strong troubleshooting skills
Ability to complete assigned activities as well as meet milestones
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize and manage workload
