Healthcare Support Specialist

The Healthcare Support Specialist is responsible for assisting with unit/patient care needs under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. Has full access to patient health information. May have access to medication storage areas as related to job responsibilities.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required through American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
- Listed with North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Division of Health Service Regulation in good standing.
- Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
