Overview

The Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Support Specialist to join our Crisis Care Center team. As a vital member of our staff, you will provide critical support and recovery training to individuals receiving services.

Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for growth.

Job Description:

Provide Peer Support Services

You will engage individuals in a recovery partnership, assisting them in identifying their hopes and dreams and the solutions they are seeking. Using your knowledge of behavioral health and mental health principles and practices, you will teach recovery and life skills using recovery tools.

Model Hope and Responsibility

As a role model, you will demonstrate hope, personal responsibility, and self-advocacy to help individuals achieve their recovery goals. You will create a supportive environment for an individual's recovery, cultivating connectedness in their life (self, others, the environment, and to meaning and purpose).

Coordinate Services

You will work with the individual's clinical team and other supports to arrange services or resources to help them achieve their goals. You will also observe and report individuals' changes in mental health status, physical appearance, and behavior.
