Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Wind Technician II to join our team at ENGIE. As a key member of our renewable energy operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our wind generation assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain wind turbines and associated equipment to maximize energy production and minimize downtime
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ENGIE's safety standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and optimize wind generation performance
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of wind turbine systems, including electrical and mechanical components
  • Participate in behavior-based safety programs and enforce safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in wind generation maintenance or a related field
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience with industrial electrical or substation equipment, including breaker, disconnects, transformers, and contactors
  • Must have or be willing to obtain certification as a substation technician within twelve (12) months of hire date
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred
Working Conditions
  • This is a field position requiring regular travel to client sites
  • Daily attendance at a worksite is required
  • Must be available to travel domestically to other solar plants for emergencies and assist with outages
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license and clean driving record to drive company vehicle on and around the plant
