Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Wind Technician II to join our team at ENGIE North America Inc. as a key member of our renewable energy operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our wind generation assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain wind turbines and associated equipment to ensure maximum energy production and minimize downtime.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement maintenance strategies that optimize asset performance and reduce costs.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of wind turbine systems, including electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
  • Participate in behavior-based safety programs to promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with ENGIE's safety policies.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior technicians and other team members to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.
  • Conduct root cause failure analysis to identify and address equipment failures and develop recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and equipment performance data.
Requirements
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in wind generation maintenance or a related field.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience with industrial electrical or substation equipment, including breaker, disconnects, transformers, and contactors.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain certification as a substation technician within twelve (12) months of hire date.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
