Responsibilities- Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and educational needs, and develop individualized care plans to address these needs.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Provide leadership and guidance to other staff members, promoting a collaborative team approach to patient care.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Professional Development: Stay current with best practices and evidence-based guidelines in pediatric nursing, and participate in ongoing education and training opportunities.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required; Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in pediatric nursing; leadership experience preferred.
- Certifications: Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required; additional certifications may be required based on department or unit assignment.
- Licensure: Valid, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Ohio required; Multistate License (MSL) preferred.
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, with a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the department and patients. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of professionalism and compassion.
