Administrative and HR Manager

The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking an experienced Administrative and HR Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the administrative and human resources functions of the Ophthalmology Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the department, including supervising administrative staff and coordinating with faculty and departmental leadership.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with university regulations and best practices.
- Provide guidance and support to faculty and staff on HR-related matters, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
- Collaborate with senior staff to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives, ensuring alignment with departmental and university goals.
- Manage budgets and resources, ensuring effective use of departmental funds and assets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of experience in administrative and HR roles, with at least one year of supervisory experience.
- Working knowledge of university policies and procedures, including HR-related regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including faculty, staff, and students.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
