Job Summary

Harris Regional Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Office Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating clinical office activities, working under the direction of physicians, and supporting the schedules of clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate clinical office activities, including prioritizing incoming phone calls and advising patients on basic treatment or urging them to seek care in the office or emergency department.
  • Provide support to Certified Nursing Assistants and Certified Medical Assistants functioning in the Medical Assistant position in the clinical setting.
  • Exhibit effective communication and stay current with diseases processes, outbreaks, and any information beneficial for staff.
  • Complete required documentation consistent with the system used in the facility and develop and train clinical staff.
  • Perform a variety of tasks for patients and providers, including triaging patients, taking patient vitals, obtaining medical information, charting, preparing exam rooms, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with license eligible to practice in the state of North Carolina.
  • Prefer two years of experience working in a physician's office.
  • Ability to work independently, have strong oral skills, good basic math skills, and be computer literate.
  • BLS certification maintained.
