Position Summary

The Senior Manager of Finance and Administration is a pivotal role designed to address the increasing demands of the organization as we strive to enhance our impact through a new strategic plan. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the performance of the Finance and Administration teams, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic objectives. The role includes establishing robust internal financial and administrative systems, policies, and processes to support operational efficiency.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Management
  • Participate as a member of the Senior Management Team.
  • Guide the development and execution of finance and administration strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Provide support and advice to senior leadership regarding financial and administrative matters.
  • Communicate effectively with the Board of Directors on finance and administration issues.
  • Lead and inspire the finance and administration team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure timely and effective internal communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Deliver training and support to staff on financial policies and procedures.
Budget Management
  • Oversee the organization-wide budgeting process, including planning and forecasting.
  • Enhance budgeting tools and processes in collaboration with department heads.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including budget variances and forecasts.
Financial Oversight
  • Direct the fiscal planning process, ensuring responsible financial management.
  • Optimize financial systems and implement best practice policies.
  • Coordinate the month-end close process and manage financial reporting.
  • Lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
Operations and Administration
  • Supervise the Operations Manager and coordinate annual operational planning.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and oversee administrative functions.
  • Manage relationships with external partners and vendors.
Qualifications
  • Fluency in Spanish is required.
  • Proven experience in finance within complex non-profit organizations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong management experience in operations and administration.
  • Ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial colleagues.
  • Experience in financial reporting and audit coordination.
  • Proficient in technology and software related to finance and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
