POSITION SUMMARY
The Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team Leader is responsible for overseeing a dedicated team of non-licensed personnel while providing direct services within a behavioral health framework. This role is crucial in developing, implementing, and managing therapeutic interventions in alignment with regulatory standards.
The individual in this position will ensure the effective delivery of multi-disciplinary case management services, focusing on actively engaging individuals with severe mental health challenges. The ACT Team Leader plays a vital role in meeting the needs of clients, achieving program objectives, and fulfilling contractual obligations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are essential to the role:
- Coordinate and direct treatment and rehabilitation services, ensuring compliance with professional standards and legal requirements.
- Develop specialized programs aimed at engaging hard-to-reach clients suffering from serious mental health issues.
- Supervise both professional and non-professional staff, establishing performance standards and conducting evaluations.
- Implement and monitor treatment interventions tailored to specific populations, providing support during crises.
- Act as a liaison with various organizations, maintaining collaborative relationships to enhance service delivery.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and attend relevant meetings and training sessions.
- Manage an on-call schedule to address client needs effectively.
- Conduct daily team meetings to review client progress and assign case management duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- A Master's degree in a relevant field such as psychology, social work, or counseling.
- A minimum of two years of experience working with adults facing serious mental health challenges.
- At least one year of supervisory experience in a behavioral health setting.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and behavioral management strategies.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.
