Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operations Supervisor to oversee our distribution activities. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our warehouse operations.

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor will be responsible for managing all aspects of warehouse functions, acting as a proactive leader who inspires and guides team members while promoting a collaborative environment. This position requires a focus on optimizing the flow of inventory, both incoming and outgoing, while maintaining accurate stock levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and support distribution activities, including loading/unloading, receiving, sorting, and inventory management.
  • Lead by example to ensure adherence to established procedures and best practices.
  • Foster a motivated workforce through effective coaching, constructive feedback, and encouragement.
  • Conduct employee training and performance evaluations, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
  • Maintain precise inventory records by coordinating regular cycle counts and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and operational standards.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to management on a regular basis.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong leadership and conflict resolution abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of contemporary distribution methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management systems.
  • Capable of operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of management experience in warehousing or logistics.
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams of 5 to 10 employees.
  • Experience in inventory control and reconciliation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
