EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

SCOPE OF POSITION:

This role encompasses the maintenance and upkeep of the facilities, grounds, and vehicles associated with the Bellingham Corps, Social Services/Food Bank, Quarters, and Camp Lummi. Responsibilities include ensuring cleanliness and orderliness of all facilities and conducting weekly pickups for the food bank as necessary.

WEEKLY SCHEDULE:
  • Monday through Friday
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Establish and adhere to a comprehensive maintenance schedule
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Corps, including tasks such as vacuuming, trash disposal, window washing, and floor cleaning
  • Ensure all restrooms are thoroughly cleaned and stocked
  • Oversee kitchen cleanliness and maintenance
  • Maintain the Chapel's cleanliness and organization
  • Keep all vehicles in optimal condition, including regular maintenance and cleanliness
  • Prepare and organize spaces for events and programs
  • Manage exterior maintenance, including landscaping and safety of walkways
  • Perform necessary building maintenance to ensure a safe environment
  • Organize and maintain janitorial supplies and equipment
  • Report any supply needs to the supervisor
  • Assist with community donations as required
  • Document all incidents and accidents immediately
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned
  • Driving responsibilities include operating various vehicles
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Capability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly
  • Proficient in operating a motor vehicle and power tools
  • Ability to handle standard cleaning products safely
