We are seeking a highly skilled Fiber Audit Specialist to join our team at Bold Business. As a Fiber Audit Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting thorough audits of our fiber optic network infrastructure to ensure it meets the highest standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough audits of fiber optic network infrastructure to identify any issues or areas for improvement.
- Verify the correct number of fibers and ports are present and perform non-intrusive testing of each fiber using an Optical Fiber Identifier to ensure light is passing through the fiber.
- Document network configurations, cable routes, splicing records, test results, and other relevant data in a clear and concise manner.
- Compile audit findings into comprehensive reports highlighting any issues found against existing records.
- Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of audit tasks.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ANSI/TIA, ISO/IEC) for fiber optic installation and testing.
Requirements:
- Technical knowledge of fiber optics and experience with fiber optic cable handling and installation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to identify even minor documentation issues that could impact network performance.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to adapt to different types of networks, equipment, and unexpected challenges that may arise during an audit.
