As a Field Service Engineer at Caterpillar, you will deliver technical assistance for field deployments of both standard and customized switchgear systems, warranty services, corrective repairs, and preventive maintenance agreements within your designated area.
Responsibilities:
Conduct startup, preventive maintenance, testing, repair, and advanced electrical services on generator control systems and switchgear.
Ensure customer satisfaction within your territory.
Assist or mentor technicians, both internal and external, in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and equipment testing.
Support the Product Support Center help desk in resolving customer inquiries.
Collaborate with dealer service and sales teams to promote products and services.
Timely submission of daily reports, weekly expenses, and project documentation.
Stay updated with training on all new and revised platforms.

This position requires 90-95% of work within the assigned territory.
On-call duty is included for the designated area.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology, or a minimum of 3 years of relevant equipment experience.
Ability to interpret AC/DC schematics and wiring diagrams.
Preferred experience in PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Schneider, Siemens, GE, etc.).
Preferred experience in Human Machine Interface programming (Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens, GE, etc.).
Knowledge of Power Distribution and Switchgear is preferred.
Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe PDF.
A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is required.
Must reside near a major airport (within an hour's drive).
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
Willingness to travel 75% within the assigned territory.
