Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and innovative faculty member to join our team as a Clinical Science Educator. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate medical education in various areas, including clinical skills, community and population health, simulation, and large group learning. The position is a non-tenure track appointment, and rank will be awarded commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
  • Teach in undergraduate medical education in various areas, including clinical skills, community and population health, simulation, and large group learning.
  • Serve in curriculum leadership roles as appropriate.
  • Participate in educational research or other scholarly endeavors in collaboration with faculty in department or at partner universities.
  • Serve on department or university committees.
  • Assist in academic advising and mentoring of students.
Requirements
  • MD, DO, or equivalent degree.
  • Board Certification by the American Board of Medical Specialties.
  • Unrestricted medical license in the state of Georgia, appropriate hospital credentials and privileges, and an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior teaching experience in U.S. medical education programs.
  • Background in case-based and active learning methods in small and large group settings.
