Job Summary:

Ind Hemp LLC is seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing financial support to our business operations. This role will involve working closely with our accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and record financial transactions, including funds received and disbursed.
  • Participate in month-end close tasks, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Review expense reports for proper general ledger coding and documentation.
  • Process and record payments for the check run.
  • Prepare, process, and verify purchase orders to purchase materials and goods by required delivery dates.
  • Maintain records for goods ordered and received.
  • Resolve issues with purchase order changes, returns, replacements, and credit arrangements.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
  • Assist with financial applications projects.
  • Assist with year-end audit requests.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and at least 3-4 years in an accounting role.
  • Experience in a corporate accounting role and understanding of manufacturing a plus.
  • CPA strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with accounting software (NetSuite preferred).
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize while remaining organized and managing time effectively.
  • Ability to think creatively, highly driven, and self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • High attention to detail with excellent analytical skills.
  • Must enjoy working as part of a team and thrive on team culture.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Intermediate Excel skills with ability to comfortably use pivot tables and importing/manipulating data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
