About the Role:

Patterson Companies, Inc. is a leading provider of products, technologies, and services to the animal and oral health markets. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our veterinary service team as a Veterinary Equipment Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair veterinary equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Respond to customer service calls, diagnose problems, and make appropriate repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Train customers on the use and basic maintenance of equipment at their site.
  • Complete all required service forms, including service orders, confirmations, inventory, expense reports, time sheets, and equipment-related items.
  • Maintain strong and supportive customer relationships by providing technical support after initial installation of equipment, PC software, and hardware.
  • Manage inventory, including determining parts, supplies, or tools needed to complete service requests.
  • Ensure proper vehicle maintenance guidelines and safe driving habits are followed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-5 years prior experience in a veterinary/medical/dental environment.
  • PC skills in Windows-based programs.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of experience as a certified, licensed, or registered veterinary technician.
  • Previous X-ray experience.
  • SAP experience.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Carpentry, plumbing, heating, electrical, or electronic-related experience.
  • Technical training in bio-med/electronics or related technical field.
