Job Summary

As a Pediatric Audiologist at CHRISTUS Health, you will play a vital role in providing a full range of diagnostic and rehabilitative services to patients. This includes visual reinforcement audiometry, conditioned play audiometry, conventional audiometry, otoacoustic emissions, auditory brainstem response, acoustic immittance testing, earmolds, hearing aids, bone-conduction hearing aids, and cochlear implants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Services: Conduct comprehensive audiometric evaluations to identify hearing loss and other auditory disorders in pediatric patients.
  • Rehabilitative Services: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve hearing and communication skills in children with hearing impairments.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with parents, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and coordination.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in audiology and pediatric care through ongoing education and training.
Requirements
  • Education: Doctoral Degree in Audiology (AuD) from an accredited program.
  • Certification: Active certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or the American Board of Audiology (ABA).
  • Licensure: Active audiology licensure in the state of practice.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position, working 8 hours a day, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
