We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Audiologist to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our audiology department, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative services to pediatric patients with hearing disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough evaluations of pediatric patients to diagnose hearing disorders and develop effective treatment plans.
- Administer a range of diagnostic tests, including visual reinforcement audiometry, conditioned play audiometry, and auditory brainstem response.
- Prescribe and fit hearing aids, earmolds, and other assistive devices as needed.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on hearing loss and its management.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for pediatric patients.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in audiology and pediatric hearing health.
- Doctoral degree in Audiology (Au.D.) required.
- 0-3 years of experience in pediatric audiology preferred.
- Pediatric experience or rotation (externship) a plus.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- ASHA or ABA certification required.
- Active Audiology licensure in the state of practice required.
This is a full-time position with a varied work schedule. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently with minimal supervision and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
