About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at Frontline Wildfire Defense. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful installation of our wildfire defense systems, providing exceptional customer service, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Manage installations to design specifications, within budget and timeline targets, ensuring high-quality results and customer satisfaction.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with homeowners, crew members, subcontractors, builders, architects, and other stakeholders to manage expectations and provide a great customer experience.
  • Product Improvement: Understand the mechanical, hardware, and software engineering of the Frontline System and contribute to ongoing product improvement and innovation.
  • Residential Construction Knowledge: Understand residential construction and local building requirements, working with inspectors in building and fire departments as needed.
  • Team Leadership: Encourage, engage, and lead the install team, driving success and fostering a spirit of teamwork among team members.
  • Performance Evaluation: Evaluate and provide guidance and feedback to team members to improve their expertise and project performance.
  • Supply Chain Management: Manage material procurement and tracking, creating or improving processes for supply chain, inventory, job costing, and overall design and installation of the system.
  • Recruitment and Training: Assist with recruiting, training, and supervising foremen and crew members, as well as recruiting, training, and managing project operations team members.
  • Technical Support: Provide operations and maintenance support to existing customers, creating a technical support function to oversee Frontline Controller configuration, installation, and maintenance.
  • Sales and Business Development: Support sales and business development through participating in the sales cycle, building relationships with builders, architects, and developers, and recruiting channel partners that bring new sales opportunities.
  • Process Improvement: Create close partnerships and processes between sales and operations, from initial site visits, design, and scoping to scheduling and preparation with subcontractors and customer contractors.
  • Performance Metrics: Evaluate performance for the install team's Foreman and Superintendents, identifying trends, recommending improvements, and submitting quarterly bonus forms.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned, including backflow testing, drafting T&M agreements, ensuring sales tax exemptions, and vehicle maintenance management.
Requirements:
  • Excellent Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills and empathy in working with customers, accounts, and teammates.
  • Remote Work and Travel: Willing to work remotely, travel to customers throughout California, and work nights and weekends as needed.
  • Communication and Teaching Skills: Great communicator and teacher - both in terms of creating the story and presentation and delivering it to the Install Team, customers, and partners.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Google Suite (Slides, Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Calendar, Drive) and Slack.
  • Vehicle and Driver's License: Must possess a vehicle and valid driver's license to drive to and from job site locations if support is needed.
  • Home Internet Broadband Access: Must have home internet broadband access.
