Job Overview

Our client, K2 Staffing, is seeking a dedicated professional for a full-time role as a Mechanical Engineering Project Specialist. This position is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency in mechanical and industrial systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct project estimating, including take-off and analysis.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, including manpower allocation.
  • Oversee RFIs (Requests for Information) and prepare comprehensive submittal packages.
  • Facilitate the flow of contractor-provided submittal data.
  • Assist in the population of data forms and prepare project progress billings.
  • Engage in technical analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving for HVAC air equipment, piping systems, and plumbing equipment.
Required Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A foundational understanding of HVAC and plumbing design and system operations.
  • Knowledge of commercial and industrial construction processes.
  • Experience in construction estimating and testing procedures for HVAC systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, MS Access, and advanced skills in MS Excel and Word.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities for managing and archiving technical data.

A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline is recommended, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction project engineering role.
