We are currently seeking a Financial Operations Manager to lead our accounting strategy and oversee financial functions. This pivotal role will report directly to the Director of Finance and collaborate closely with the operational teams. The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong work ethic and a proactive approach to managing all facets of accounting, from month-end closing to tax compliance. Experience in retail inventory management is advantageous.


Position Details:
Title: Financial Operations Manager
Reports to: Director of Finance
Department: Accounting & Finance
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the financial operations at Europa Village Winery and Resort.
  • Manage the month-end closing procedures.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial reports to the management team.
  • Coordinate year-end financial audits and prepare audited financial statements.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators for management review.
  • Supervise wine inventory management, including production tracking and quarterly counts.
  • Conduct cost analysis for all inventories, including wine, food & beverage, and retail.
  • Update and maintain standard operating procedures for the winery.
  • Generate various departmental analysis reports on a monthly basis.
  • Participate in weekly departmental meetings.
  • Maintain documentation for ongoing construction projects and fixed asset schedules.
  • Prepare and record journal entries, including monthly accruals.
  • Assist in the implementation of departmental systems.
  • Lead financial reviews with department heads.
  • Plan and execute year-end physical inventory counts.
  • Support the preparation of annual certifications as required.
  • Provide additional reporting as needed.

  • Experience with Oracle Financial Cloud and other relevant software tools.
  • Active involvement in professional organizations and community engagement.
