Position Overview:

The Medicare Sales Specialist is responsible for engaging with Medicare beneficiaries to inform them about the various plan benefits provided by SOLIS Health Plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct compliant sales presentations to enroll potential members in accordance with established marketing policies and state and federal regulations.
  • Utilize only Medicare-approved materials during presentations.
  • Meet with clients in person at designated medical facilities or their residences.
  • Transform appointments into successful enrollments.
  • Verify enrollment documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate the initial visit for new members with their primary care providers.
  • Maintain an acceptable enrollment rate and achieve corporate enrollment objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with clients both in person and via phone.
  • Exercise discretion and sound judgment in daily operations.
  • Address member inquiries regarding plan benefits and medication costs.
  • Assist members as needed and foster a positive, problem-solving atmosphere.
  • Respect confidentiality and privacy while communicating courteously with customers and their families.
  • Adhere to company policies and maintain the confidentiality of customer medical records in compliance with relevant laws.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Participate in training sessions and staff meetings as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Possession of a valid Agent License (2-15 or 2-40) in good standing.
  • Completion of Gorman or AHIP certification for the relevant year.
  • Valid National Producer Number and driver's license.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
  • Goal-oriented with the ability to meet sales targets.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate meetings with prospective members.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong computer skills.
  • Ability to interact patiently with an elderly demographic, considering potential hearing or vision impairments.
  • Exceptional listening, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and deliver outstanding customer service.
