As an integral part of our event management team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless communication of service requirements to culinary and service staff during events. You will prepare and present billing to group representatives while ensuring all event spaces are set and ready for service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee event operations, actively participating in service delivery.
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards for all dining ware prior to use.
  • Conduct guest satisfaction checks to ensure a high-quality experience.
  • Communicate dietary restrictions and special requests to the kitchen staff.
  • Lead daily operational meetings to discuss performance expectations and team training.
  • Assist senior management with financial and administrative tasks as needed.

Candidate Profile

  • High school diploma or GED; or a 2-year degree in Hospitality Management or related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Alternatively, a minimum of 3 years of experience in hospitality roles such as food and beverage, guest services, or event management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in shift management, staff scheduling, and performance evaluation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and operational oversight capabilities.

Core Work Activities

  • Verify that meeting spaces are set according to Banquet Event Orders and customer specifications.
  • Lead event service teams to ensure adherence to company standards and procedures.
  • Manage inventory of event supplies and maintain equipment.
  • Participate in all relevant meetings to ensure alignment on event needs.
  • Communicate essential information to various teams involved in event execution.

Customer Service Excellence

  • Encourage team members to deliver exceptional service and handle guest inquiries effectively.
  • Gather feedback from guests to enhance service quality.

Human Resource Support

  • Identify and support the development needs of team members.
  • Assist in the employee performance appraisal process and training initiatives.

The hourly pay range for this position is $24.52 to $30.29. Marriott offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health care, 401(k) matching, employee stock purchase plan, and paid time off.
