About the Role

Bird Dog Equity Partners LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving financial performance, leading and inspiring teams, and developing systems and processes to ensure operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Financial Performance: Oversee the financial performance of our hotels, including revenue management, labor and controllable expenses, and ensure compliance with franchise requirements and licensing laws.
  • Lead and Inspire Teams: Lead and motivate teams to deliver a world-class guest experience, develop and implement training programs, and empower team members to take ownership of their work.
  • Develop Systems and Processes: Develop and implement systems, processes, and procedures to ensure operational excellence in all areas and departments, including maintenance, supplies, and furnishings.
  • Increase Sales and Revenue: Promote and market our hotels to increase sales and revenue, and develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Oversee Labor and Controllable Expenses: Manage labor and controllable expenses across all departments, including maintenance, supplies, and furnishings.
  • Maintain Property Condition: Maintain the property in a like-new condition, establish and maintain preventative maintenance programs, and supervise maintenance, supplies, and furnishings.
  • Monitor Performance: Monitor the performance of our hotels through verification and analysis of guest satisfaction systems and monthly financial reports, and initiate corrective action as needed.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with franchise requirements, licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements.
  • Develop and Implement Promotions: Develop and implement promotions, both internal and external, to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Coordinate with Departments: Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless operations, including group and book business, rate and service plans, and budgeted revenue goals.
Requirements
  • 5 years' minimum experience as a General Manager or like position
  • Strong experience in both hotel and food & beverage operations
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to train, develop, and motivate teams
  • Strong financial knowledge and ability to manage a P&L statement
  • Selfless, team-oriented, and always eager to improve
  • Proven ability to drive sales
  • Working knowledge of IT and computer systems
  • Good understanding of revenue generation and yield management
