POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Senior Director of Product Development at IPG Health is responsible for crafting and implementing the organization's product management vision, ensuring it aligns with both business goals and market dynamics. This role entails overseeing the product suite, managing resource distribution, budgeting, and monitoring project outcomes through key performance metrics. The individual will provide strategic leadership, fostering a culture of excellence within their team while ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Key responsibilities include assessing project proposals, cultivating stakeholder relationships, and leading initiatives for change management. With a strong emphasis on strategic alignment, portfolio oversight, leadership, and effective communication, this Director will drive successful project outcomes while promoting a collaborative workplace.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Portfolio Oversight: Manage the product portfolio to ensure it meets strategic objectives, resource allocation, and prioritization.
  • Leadership Development: Recruit, mentor, and guide a team of product managers and coordinators, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure project results align with business objectives.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Strategic Development:

  • Formulate and implement the product management strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Regularly evaluate project portfolios to maintain alignment with changing business strategies and market conditions.

Resource Management:

  • Oversee the product engagement portfolio, ensuring strategic alignment, resource allocation, and prioritization.
  • Optimize resource utilization for effective project execution.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks while developing contingency strategies.
  • Establish and uphold quality standards and processes.
  • Manage project budgets, tracking expenses and financial performance.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate project success.
  • Adapt project management methodologies as required by project specifics.
  • Address project challenges and conflicts promptly.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Team Development:

  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of product managers and coordinators.
  • Invest in the professional development of team members.
  • Anticipate future resource needs and collaborate with HR.
  • Encourage a culture of ongoing learning and improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, company policies, and industry norms.
  • Utilize project management software and tools effectively.

Project Initiation:

  • Assess project proposals, define scopes, objectives, and success criteria, securing necessary approvals and resources.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring effective communication.
  • Present project updates and performance metrics to executive leadership.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and problem-solving within project teams.

Change Leadership:

  • Lead change management initiatives related to projects.
  • Adjust resource allocation as necessary.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Product Management (Required)

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • 15+ years in Product Management, including product strategy, roadmap development, feature prioritization, and product launches (Required)
  • 10+ years in Digital/Tech/Agency Experience (Preferred)
  • 5+ years in People Management Experience (Preferred)

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Expertise in product management, strategic marketing, business strategy, and consulting within the Advertising, Tech, or Life Sciences sectors.
  • Familiarity with technical and scientific aspects of biopharmaceutical advertising.
  • Ability to discuss current and future industry trends credibly.
  • Extensive experience in Digital Production and Product Management.
  • Proven track record in defining and delivering successful digital products and experiences.
  • Solid understanding of UX best practices and collaboration with Experience Design, UX, and Visual teams.
  • Knowledge of technology and emerging trends.
  • Prior management experience with digital agencies and client partners.
  • Agile/Lean Development knowledge or experience.
  • Proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience in creating clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and related artifacts.
  • Ability to develop release plans and roadmaps.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent collaboration abilities.

NOTE:

COMPENSATION:

$210,000 - $275,000 annually, based on various factors including experience, qualifications, and market considerations.
