Adjunct Faculty

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach English composition courses at the Annandale campus of Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA).
Responsibilities:
- Teach English composition courses to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences.
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Assess student learning outcomes and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of departmental goals.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in English or 18 graduate semester hours in English.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with a diverse student population.
- Successful passing of a criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching experience for English composition at the college or high school level.
- Experience with Blackboard or other learning management systems.
