Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Communication Studies courses at our Annandale campus. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Communication Studies and the ability to effectively plan and teach courses in a classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach college-level Communication Studies classes, including Introduction to Communication, Introduction to Public Speaking, and Intercultural Communication
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments to meet the needs of a diverse student population
  • Use instructional technologies to enhance the learning experience
  • Provide feedback and support to students to ensure their academic success
  • Meet assigned classes on meeting dates and submit required grade records and reports
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Communication Studies or Speech Communication, or a related field
  • At least 18 graduate semester hours in Communication Studies or Speech Communication
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with a diverse student population
  • Flexibility to teach in the daytime, evening, or a combination of both
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching experience and coursework in intercultural communication
  • College-level teaching experience
