Job Overview

The Assistant Restaurant Manager plays a vital role in partnering with the Restaurant General Manager to lead the restaurant team at SSP. This position requires a strong focus on delegating tasks, delivering exceptional customer service, and developing team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, train, and develop a team of Food Travel Experts to ensure exceptional guest service standards.
  • Maintain all merchandising standards, display presentations, and signing standards, and monitor inventory levels to optimize sales performance.
  • Assist in planning daily goals, tasks, and assignments to ensure seamless restaurant operations.
  • Develop, plan, and assign daily goals, tasks, and Team Member assignments to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage, supervise, and evaluate Team Member performance to ensure proper completion of assigned tasks and goals, and provide feedback and disciplinary action as needed.
  • Monitor sales performance through analysis of sales reports and comparison shopping to identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain adherence to all company policies and procedures, as well as state health and sanitation standards to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Manage all office tasks, including management of funds, media, receiving, inventory, purchasing, team member scheduling, and payroll to ensure efficient restaurant operations.
  • Perform any other duties as directed by the Restaurant General Manager to support the success of the restaurant team.
