Recreation and Wellness Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Activity Therapist to join our team at Westpark Springs. As an Activity Therapist, you will be responsible for planning and implementing recreational activities that promote the physical and emotional well-being of our patients.
Your primary goal will be to create a fun and engaging environment that encourages socialization, teamwork, and personal growth. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that cater to the unique needs of each patient.
In this role, you will also be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely patient documentation. This includes maintaining detailed records of patient progress, documenting therapy sessions, and updating treatment plans as needed.
Responsibilities:- Plan and implement recreational activities for patients, including music, art, and group therapy sessions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that cater to the unique needs of each patient
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation, including records of patient progress and therapy sessions
- Bachelor's Degree in Recreation, Music, or Art Therapy
- CTRS (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist) certification
- Current unencumbered state licensure
- CPR and CPI Certification within 30 days of employment
$65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience
