Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Activity Therapist to join our team at Westpark Springs, a 72-bed behavioral hospital located in Richmond, Texas. As an Activity Therapist, you will be responsible for providing recreation, music, and art therapies to patients suffering from psychiatric and substance abuse disorders.

Your primary goal will be to create a safe and therapeutic environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of our patients. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that cater to the unique needs of each patient.

In this role, you will also be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely patient documentation. This includes maintaining detailed records of patient progress, documenting therapy sessions, and updating treatment plans as needed.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Recreation, Music, or Art Therapy
  • CTRS (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist) certification
  • Current unencumbered state licensure
  • CPR and CPI Certification within 30 days of employment
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
