Job Overview

This role involves supporting the Driller and fellow field personnel in various site activities, including the transportation and setup of equipment, safely delivering materials and supplies to job sites, site preparation, trench excavation, debris removal, and other related responsibilities.

Key Duties:

  • Driving with care and adherence to traffic regulations on public and private roads
  • Following all traffic laws along with specific MATCOR guidelines
  • Assisting in loading and unloading materials at job sites or company facilities
  • Conducting inspections of vehicle equipment and supplies, including tires, brakes, fuel, oil, and coolant
  • Maintaining accurate DOT logs in compliance with regulations
  • Performing required pre-trip and post-trip inspections as mandated by DOT
  • Executing emergency roadside repairs, such as tire changes and light bulb installations
  • Ensuring cargo is properly secured during transport
  • Helping inventory crew vehicles to confirm necessary equipment and materials are available
  • Engaging in related tasks, including maintenance of the yard
  • Carrying out additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Essential Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Possession of a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) from the state of residence
  • A minimum of 3 months of driving experience is required
  • Successful completion of a 6-month DOT physical, pre-employment drug screening, and a satisfactory background check
  • Acceptable driving record in line with MATCOR/Brand's Vehicle Policy
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely and comply with all safety regulations
  • Capacity to work independently and take initiative in field tasks
  • Proficiency in using an electronic time tracking system
  • Able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Availability to work extended hours, including 12-hour shifts
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others and learn from experienced team members
