Job Overview:

The Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the operational efficiency of construction machinery through meticulous inspection, repair, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Possess a valid driver's license; a CDL with Hazmat endorsement may be required.
  2. Maintain accurate records of equipment service and repairs using electronic devices.
  3. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  4. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the work area and tools.
  5. Operate and assess machinery to identify and rectify defects across various construction equipment.
  6. Conduct routine preventive maintenance on heavy machinery in field settings, including lubrication and replacement of essential components.
  7. Dismantle and reassemble systems on heavy construction equipment as needed.
  8. Identify and report excessive wear or damage on machinery.
  9. Replace faulty engines and subassemblies to restore equipment functionality.
  10. Test and evaluate overhauled equipment to confirm optimal performance.
  11. Assist in the positioning and securing of materials during installation processes.
  12. Engage in the loading, transportation, and unloading of tools and materials.
  13. Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks on tools and equipment.
  14. Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures.
  15. Typically requires a minimum of 48 months of experience in industrial construction.
  16. Must successfully complete Basic Plus training.
