Position Overview:

APTIM's Sustainability Solutions Group is in search of a dedicated and experienced Sustainability and GHG Analyst who is passionate about decarbonization and sustainability initiatives. Ideal candidates will possess substantial experience in GHG footprint development and/or verification in accordance with the GHG Protocol, along with a keen interest in expanding their expertise in additional sustainability services, which may encompass ESG disclosures, energy efficiency, waste reduction, and water conservation.

This role involves executing a variety of GHG services, such as conducting footprint analyses, assisting in the validation of science-based goals, and creating emission reduction strategies. The successful candidate will be a proactive individual with a solutions-oriented mindset, capable of collaborating across various teams to share insights, embrace teamwork, and tackle challenges effectively. Candidates should be adept at managing multiple priorities with competing deadlines, have a thorough understanding of the GHG Protocol, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills to foster positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and contractors. Key Responsibilities:

+ Execute thorough greenhouse gas inventories, including data gathering, analysis, and reporting, in line with applicable standards and protocols (e.g., GHG Protocol, ISO).

+ Identify and assess opportunities for emissions reduction and formulate strategies for mitigation.

+ Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and validate data concerning emissions sources, energy usage, waste management, and other pertinent factors.

+ Stay informed about the latest advancements in GHG accounting methodologies and reporting frameworks to ensure compliance and ongoing enhancement.

+ Prepare precise and engaging reports, presentations, and recommendations to convey GHG performance to management, clients, and regulatory entities as necessary.

+ Support sustainability projects by offering technical expertise and guidance on GHG emissions reduction strategies.

+ Work with cross-functional teams to incorporate sustainability practices into business operations and decision-making.

+ Conduct regular audits of APTIM's internal GHG accounting and reviews to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with both internal and external standards.

+ Develop strategies and tools to enhance processes for both internal and external applications.

+ Participate in sustainability-related meetings, conferences, and workshops to broaden professional knowledge and keep up with industry trends.

+ Present information effectively and respond to inquiries from groups of managers, clients, and customers.

+ Provide management with accurate information to aid in decision-making.

+ Adhere to all APTIM quality and safety policies as well as OSHA regulations.

Basic Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant discipline (e.g., Environmental Studies, Engineering, Economics, Sustainability, Planning, Policy) from an accredited institution.

+ 2-5+ years of experience as a Greenhouse Gas Analyst or in a comparable role focused on GHG inventory management and/or reporting.

+ Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including proficiency in calculation review and spreadsheet analysis.

+ In-depth knowledge of GHG accounting methodologies, emission factors, and reporting frameworks (e.g., GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, CDP).

+ A genuine interest in sustainability practices and assisting clients in minimizing their carbon footprint.

+ Excellent communication and collaboration abilities; experience in client engagement and coordination.

+ Capability to plan, execute, and deliver projects promptly while managing multiple initiatives.

+ Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and identify trends, patterns, and insights for diverse audiences.

+ Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.

+ Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.

+ Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks concurrently, and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams and with clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience managing GHG projects for various clients (commercial, industrial, and governmental) from inception to completion.

+ Familiarity with building performance standards and benchmarking requirements.

+ Proven success in helping clients achieve and surpass their GHG reduction objectives.

+ Experience with third-party verification and/or assurance.
